  I must say, it is easy to read, but Matt 1:21 poses quite a problem. Did Jesus come to save us from our guilt, or from our sins? This is not a matter of semantics. This is basic English. The two words are definitely not the same. And this is the biggest problem I have with this piece of work.

  Publisher's comment: Yes, 'guilt' and 'sin' are vastly different words in English. But in the Hebrew mind they are almost inseparable concepts. To the Hebrew, the word 'sin' means 'sin and its consequences.' And the main consequences are guilt and punishment. So 'guilt' and 'punishment' are valid translations of this word.

  However, Marco, we've taken your advice and changed the translation in about 100 places to now read 'sin' rather than 'guilt.' In most of these places 'guilt' and 'punishment' are now listed as alternative words in the footnotes.

  This is a great translation and a much-needed contribution to the body of Christ. Thank you!
  
  The only suggestion I have is to make the references on the right side hot-linked so that when it says "See also Luke 4:2" when rolling our mouse over Luke 4:2 the passage is shown. There are free programs that will do this for you, I just don't remember the name of them.
